Online presence playbook for a photography business
Clients need to recognize the photographer's specialty and style, understand deliverables and fit, see credible work, and know how availability and booking are confirmed.
Help the right customer find the business
Lead with the actual specialties and geographic or travel availability. Organize portfolios by customer need, not only by visual preference. Keep inquiry destinations and availability language consistent wherever work is displayed.
Build trust with evidence and clear limits
Show only work the photographer created and has permission to display. Explain session process, preparation, editing approach, delivery expectations, usage boundaries, and what varies by package or project. Never manufacture clients, publications, awards, or availability.
Create a usable next step
Collect project or session type, date, location, participant or product details, intended use, timing, and contact information. Explain whether the date is held only after review, agreement, and any required payment.
Useful content to build from real work
- How to prepare for a specific session type
- A lighting or location decision explained simply
- What happens between the session and delivery
- A permission-safe story behind a finished image set
Working checklist
- Specialty and style are easy to recognize.
- Every displayed image is owned and permission-safe.
- Deliverables and timelines are described accurately.
- Inquiry does not masquerade as confirmed booking.
- Usage and privacy boundaries are clear.
